성경을 활용한 영성미술치료 프로그램이 호스피스 환자의 죽음불안에 미치는 영향
본 연구는 기독교 영성 매체인 성경을 미술치료에 활용하여 개발한 영성미술치료 프로 그램이 호스피스 환자의 죽음불안에 미치는 영향을 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 호스피스 완화의료 전문기관인 C의원과 Y병원의 호스피스 병실에 입원해 있는 기독교인 호스피스 환자 4명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 프로그램은 개별적으로 1회기에 30-40분, 매주 2회씩 총 8회기를 실시하였다. 연구방법은 프로그램에 따른 죽음불안의 회기별 변화를 참 여관찰 하는 질적 사례연구가 중심이 되었고, 보완자료로서 죽음불안 척도를 사용하여 사 전 사후 검사 결과를 실수(實數)로 비교 요약하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째. 성경을 활용한 영성미술치료 프로그램이 회기별 호스피스 환자의 죽음불안에 미치는 영향 을 살펴본 결과 죽음에 대한 인식과 태도의 명료화, 내세에 대한 확신, 영적지지 등을 통 하여 죽음불안을 감소시키고 긍정적인 죽음의 태도를 강화시키는데 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 성경을 활용한 영성미술치료 프로그램이 호스피스 환자의 죽음불안을 감소시키는데 긍정 적 효과가 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여 성경을 활용한 영성미술치료 프로그램이 호스피스 환 자의 죽음불안을 완화시키는데 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 결과는 성경을 활용한 영성미술치료 프로그램의 개발과 호스피스 환자의 죽음불안 중재에 임상자 료로써 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
The Effects of the Bible-based Spiritual Art Therapy Program on Death Anxiety of Hospice Patients
The purpose of this study is to clarify effects of Spiritual Art Therapy Program developed through the Bible, which is a Christian spiritual medium, on death anxiety of hospice patients. The subjects of study are four Christians hospice patients in “C” clinic as a professional institute of hospice palliative care and “Y” hospital. The research method is focused on a study of qualitative cases which participates and observes changes of death anxiety by period according to the program and compares and summarizes the results of pretest-posttest with the Death Anxiety Scale as the real number. There are the results of this study as follows. First, as the results of the effects of the Bible-based Spiritual Art Therapy Program on death anxiety of hospice patients, their death anxiety is reduced through clarification of perception and attitude toward death, confidence in the future, spiritual support and such like. It is effective in strengthening the positive attitude of death. Second, there is a positive effect for the Bible-based Spiritual Art Therapy Program on reducing death anxiety of hospice patients. Through this study, the Bible-based Spiritual Art Therapy Program has a positive effect on relieving death anxiety of hospice patients. These results are expected to be useful for the development of Spiritual Art Therapy Program by the Bible and Clinical data on the intervention of death anxiety.
